Episode 26: How old are you and how many prescriptions do you take? Brooke says none!

GOAL: not to be on any long-term prescription medication when I'm in my 70s and beyond!
Eva interviewed Melinda and Brooke. Melinda and Brooke eat differently, believe in staying active, eating as well as they can, and keeping stress to a minimum. Some things they have in common include horses, being in their 70s, not taking care of themselves in the past, being at healthy weights now, and having lived in the desert for about 30 years. 
If you listen to episode 25, where Melinda explains what she does for her health and to avoid prescription medications, and compare it to what Brooke says in this episode, you will see that they are doing different things to avoid prescription medications. It's not a one size fits all when it comes to health. This is to show you that we are all different and not every "diet" works for everyone. Also, no matter what you have gone through, you can find healthy ways to cope to keep you on track for no prescription medications if you are not currently on any.
If you want to stay off prescription medications long term, discuss that with your doctor and ask them if they know of healthier ways to stay healthy. Episode 25 Melinda NO MEDS! How old are you???

Eva met up with a couple of women in their 70s in her 55-plus walking group.
As they got to talking, they had a lot in common. They liked to treat themselves as naturally as possible when any illness occurred; better yet, they were more about prevention. How in their 70s are they not taking any prescription medications? Eva was interested, as she wanted to be like that when she "grows up."
This will show you it's okay if you haven't been eating well many years, it's never to late to start. Just check this story out! Brook and Melinda have horses in common but different eating styles. Episode 26 will be Brooke no meds! 
The app Cronometer will help you not just count calories but also know what nutritional value you are getting. It charts vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? Again, it's a tool to use food as medicine!

Episode 23 Calling Wisdom Foolishness

CAUTION: This episode is a bit heavy. It brought tears to Eva but she shows when there is much sadness, much rejoicing can come. Stay until the end to see how this was made possible. 
In Gods perfect timing this episode is coinciding with Easter. This is not where Eva thought she was going with the "Prescription for Wisdom" but Gods Wisdom, which the world calls foolishness has everything to do with what Christians celebrate at Easter.
From Saul, a Jew in the New Testament to another Jew you may have heard of, Bernard Nathanson (most notably from the 60's to the 80's)  they both were revealed truth and came to know the wisdom of God.
Abortion, God's wisdom, redemption and religion is discussed bringing it all back to the reason and NEED  for the Cross.

Fear, doubt, and Wisdom do go together. Couldn't help but mention my fear of chickens and fearing the Lord.. Those fears are very different.

Episode 20 Would you ever doubt perfection?

What is perfection? Who do you know that is near perfect? I often have said my husband is "perfect for me". No he's not perfect.
This episode covers a lot more than Doubt. Eva was all over the place. So much was coming out, it was hard to contain. When we talk about the perfection of God and His love He brings much out.

Episode 18 How to Keep the Dark Clouds of Doubt Away

In this episode we define doubt and give examples of why someone would doubt something. You may see yourself in some of the situations mentioned. Some I experienced and some I witnessed others doubt their decision even when they knew they needed to make changes.  We start out strong, but when things get tough and we get tired,  we doubt we will make it through. May you come to know what God's Word says about you and stop doubting He has a plan for you. No need to doubt His love and provision for you.

Grey clouds of Doubt and Sunny Days ahead

Doubt can creep in like grey clouds making your mind clouded with untruths. In this episode Eva recalls her "weather forecasting" days and she informs listeners of how many sunny days are in some of the cities close to her heart. .
